Nischal is an example of the talent and dedication that propels Klarity forward, and we are proud of his well-deserved recognition.
Shaped by Innovation: Nischal’s Path to Innovation
From an early age, Nischal’s upbringing reflected his passion for technology and learning. Nischal spent his early years in the Bay Area before relocating to Bangalore. Watching his parents use technology to address development sector challenges, Nischal developed a love for problem-solving and innovation.
He was equally passionate about tennis, competing at the national level for many years.
At one point in high school, he tried (unsuccessfully) to convince his parents to let him drop out of school to pursue tennis full-time.
Following a perfect SAT score, he attended MIT to study computer science. There, he cultivated a strong interest in using Artificial Intelligence to address real-world challenges.
During his Junior year Nischal caught the entrepreneurship bug and decided to enroll in MIT’s flagship entrepreneurship course. It was here that he met Andrew Antos, a graduate student at Harvard Law School, who would later become his co-founder at Klarity.
From Startup to Scale-Up: Building Klarity’s Team and Vision
With the idea to pair Antos’ background as a lawyer, who used valuable time manually reviewing lengthy contractual agreements, with Nischal’s expertise in automation and a commitment to solving complex challenges, the two went for a 3 hour walk around Cambridge and set out to automate contract review for legal teams.
After seeing an unexpected opportunity within accounting and finance organizations, they pivoted into building Klarity as it is today - creating expert-grade process documentation, and automates critical accounting and finance operation tasks with human-level precision, and enrolled in Y Combinator’s 2018 cohort.
Klarity’s Bay Area presence started in a Mountain View house occupied by Nischal, Andrew and fellow early hires, but since then, Klarity has found a home in San Francisco, CA.
Nischal has spearheaded the growth of the entire EPD Team and Ops Teams and leads the development of key product features. He strives to do whatever it takes to make a tangible impact on clients, colleagues, and the broader tech community.
